red onions
1-2 cinnamon sticks
1t whole allspice
apple cider vinegar
slice red onions very thinly. The slices should be translucent. Pack onions, cinnamon sticks, and allspice in a jar. Pour vinegar into jar until 3/4 full. Fill the rest of the way with water. Refrigerate for a few days to allow flavor to develop before serving. Will keep for a few weeks in the refrigerator.
Add to salads, sandwiches, hot dogs, or anything else!
